Why pain keeps coming back & you end up back at square one.

A lot of women I see have already tried something to help their bodies.
Maybe they’ve had a massage, a physio session, some scar work… or just one appointment somewhere along the way.
And they often say something like:
“It did help… but then it all just came back.”
Or:
“I felt better for a bit… and now I’m back at square one.”
If that’s been your experience, you’re not imagining it, and it doesn’t mean your body is the problem. One treatment can absolutely help. It can ease tension, reduce restriction, improve movement and give the body some much-needed relief. But depending on what’s been going on underneath, that relief doesn’t always last. That’s the part many women are never really told.
The women I work with are often dealing with things that haven’t just appeared overnight. They’ve usually been building up over time.
Abdominal tightness.
C-section scar pulling or numbness.
A tummy that doesn’t feel like it’s working properly.
Hips or lower back constantly compensating.
A body that just doesn’t feel like it’s working the way it used to.
And when those patterns have been there for a while, the body often needs more than a one-off release to properly change them.
This is the cycle I see all the time.
A woman finally does something for herself. She books one appointment.
She feels looser, lighter, more hopeful, and then life carries on. A few days or a couple of weeks pass, and the body slowly slips back into the same tension, restriction and movement habits. Before long, she’s thinking:
“Why am I back here again?”
Not because the treatment didn’t work, but because the body often needs more than a one-off reset if the change is going to last.
This is where things start to shift, because for a lot of women, the biggest difference doesn’t come from one isolated It comes from having the right hands-on treatment, support between sessions, reassessment as the body changes, and guidance that builds on what’s improving. That’s when the body starts to change. Not just better on the day, but better in a way that actually lasts.
This is exactly why I work the way I do, because one session can absolutely help.
But if your body has been compensating, restricted, recovering or going round in cycles for a while, it often needs more than one good treatment. It needs support, progression and follow-through.
That’s the thinking behind my personalised treatment plan. Not as a “package.”
But as a way of helping your body actually move forward, not just feel better for a short while.
If you’ve ever felt better after a treatment, only to find yourself back at square one again, you’re not doing anything wrong. And it doesn’t mean nothing works.
Sometimes it just means your body has needed a bit more support, over a bit more time, in the right way.
And for many women, that’s the missing piece.
Love always,
Dawn xx
