Release. Restore. Rebuild.™ And why that order matters.

I’ve lost count of how many women have sat in front of me and said,
“I thought this was just how it was now.”
Their scar feels tight or numb.
Their stomach domes when they move.
Their back aches.
Their pelvis feels unstable.
Their shoulders are permanently braced.
And somewhere along the way, they’ve been told:
“It’s normal.”
“It takes time.”
“Just do some core exercises.”
“Your scar’s numb? That happens. Get on with it.”
Growing and giving birth to a baby is a Herculean physical experience.
Pregnancy changes alignment. Birth, vaginal or surgical, demands enormous adaptation. Abdominal surgery cuts through layers that need time and structured support to reorganise.
Six weeks is not a finish line.
And rehabilitation is not punishment.
You cannot rebuild strength on top of restriction.
You cannot stabilise muscles that are being held out of position by tight fascia, scar adhesions or overloaded structures.
You cannot “core exercise” your way through tissue that hasn’t been released and restored first.
That’s why I work in this order, Release. Restore. Rebuild.™
Release.
We address the restrictions first.
Scar mobility. Fascial tension. Overworking compensations.
If something is stuck, it needs freeing before it needs strengthening.
Restore.
Then we reintroduce movement patterns properly. Breath. Coordination. Rib mobility. Pelvic control. The body needs to remember how to organise itself.
Rebuild.
Only then do we layer strength. Gradual. Phased. Structured. So that stability is earned, not forced.
This isn’t about shrinking your body.
It’s about rebuilding it in a way that respects what it’s been through. Because women deserve more than being told to “get over it.”
They deserve structured rehabilitation.
They deserve to understand what’s happening in their body.
And they deserve to feel strong again, not punished.
That’s why my Release. Restore. Rebuild.™ pathway is phased over 12 weeks, layered with hands-on treatment and guided progression.
Because order matters.
Always.
If you’re unsure where you are in that Release. Restore. Rebuild.™ process, start with an assessment, and we’ll map it properly.
